I have created an Advanced Lot for an auction and I have an option for bidding at detail level or bidding at lot level. What do these options mean?

When creating an advanced lot for an eAuction there is an option to decide if you would like participants to bid on each line item or if you would like them to bid on only the lot total cell.

When in an eAuction's advanced lot on the top left-hand side there is a drop down which allows you to dictate the bidding process, (see image 1 below).

Bid at lot level = participants will be required to enter a bid in the lot total cell only.

Bid at detail level = participants will be required to enter bids at line item level.
