How do I add a description to an Advanced Lot?

Who this helps: hosts building Advanced Lots who want to give suppliers guidance, and suppliers pricing complex lots.

What is the problem you're facing?

I want to give my suppliers guidance about an Advanced Lot as a whole. How do I do this?

For Hosts

  1. Go to the lots tab of your event and click to add a new Advanced Lot, or edit an existing one.

  2. In the pop-up, enter your guidance in the Lot Description field (up to 500 characters). A counter shows how many characters you have left.

  3. Save the lot.



Column descriptions are now shown under each column header, rather than in a hover tooltip.

For Participants

  1. Open the event and go to the lots or bidding screen.

  2. The lot description is shown at the top of each lot. If it is long, click to expand it.

  3. Column descriptions are shown under each column header. Click to expand longer descriptions.
