Decline an event in Sourcing Dojo

How do I reject an event that I have already accepted?

What is the issue you are facing?

I'm a participant that has accepted an invitation to an event, but I have changed my mind and now wish to reject the invitation. How can I do this?

Solution

Once you have accepted an invitation to an event in Sourcing you can reject this. 

To do so:
  1. Log into your Market Dojo account
  2. Click in to the event that you wish to decline
  3. On the Overview tab scroll to the very bottom of the page
  4. Click on the 'Decline Event' button

  1. You will then be presented with this pop-up

  1. Fill out the reason that you are declining the event, and then click on the 'Decline Event' button
    1. Note that you cannot leave this blank, as this message will be sent to the Host to advise them of why you are declining
  2. This will then remove you from the event and will automatically send a message to the Host. You can see this message in your Messages tab. 
*Note that once you have declined an event you will lose access to it. The host can re-invite you if needed though.
