What are the Onboarding Permissions

For Host users in Market Dojo Supplier Onboarding (SIM Dojo), Onboarding permissions determine what each internal user is allowed to do within the supplier onboarding process. They allow administrators to control who can configure the onboarding system, manage suppliers, send invitations, and make approval decisions, so users only have access appropriate to their role.

In summary, Onboarding permissions are used to control each host user's level of access and responsibility within the supplier onboarding process, ensuring users can only perform the actions required for their role while maintaining security, governance, and an appropriate approval workflow. 

How to assign Onboarding Permissions

In order to assign Onboarding Permissions you will need to:
  1. Navigate to Admin > Onboarding Permissions
  1. You will then see a list of all of your host users. 
  2. Click on the edit icon next to the user you would like to manage. 
  1. You then need to select the Onboarding Permissions tab

  1. You can then assign the relevant permissions here.
  2. The main onboarding permissions are:
    1. Onboarding Event Configuration – Allows a host user to create and edit the onboarding event itself, including questionnaires, documents, custom fields, and Onboarding settings. Users without edit access can view the configuration but cannot change it.
    2. Participant Tagging – Controls whether a user can manage the tags used to categorise suppliers. Users without this permission can still apply existing tags to suppliers but cannot create or edit the tag definitions.
    3. Invite Onboarding Participant – Allows users to invite and re-invite suppliers to complete onboarding. Without this permission, they cannot add new suppliers or resend invitations.
    4. Onboarding Final Decisions – Grants permission to approve or reject suppliers once the onboarding process is complete. Users without this permission can view the decision screen but cannot make the final decision.
    5. Participant Permissions – Determines which suppliers a user can view and edit. Access can be restricted by host group, department, or team, so users only see suppliers relevant to them. If a user has no participant permissions, they can only see suppliers they invited themselves.
