Can I Proxy Bid on behalf of a participant?

What's the issue you're facing?

A participant is unable or unwilling to submit their bid using Market Dojo. Can I proxy bid on their behalf?

Solution

Yes, this is possible, even if the Participant has not registered.

However, please note that they will be sent an email notification each time you proxy bid on their behalf.

In order to proxy bid:

1. Visit the Participants tab. (Proxy bidding can also be done from RFQ, Qual. Bids or Auction tab, but only some of these tabs may be available depending on the settings for your event)
2. Click on the name of the Participant who you wish to bid for.

3. In the popup, go to the correct tab for the current state of your event that you wish to proxy bid for. (RFQ, Qual. Bids or Auction).
4. Click on the Proxy Bid button.

5. Enter your bid and then press Submit.

6. You will see a pop-up like this. Press Submit to confirm.

7. You will then see the bid has been submitted. You'll notice the P next to the bid as highlighted below which denotes that this was a proxy bid.
