How do I edit a lot on a live RFQ or Auction?

I have a live event and need to make an edit to my lot. How can I do edit it?

Solution

RFQ

If the RFQ is live and suppliers have already bid in the RFQ then there will be only limited changes that you will be able to make as you cannot adjust the structure of a lot once bids are placed. 
  1. To edit a lot go the RFQs tab and click on the Edit button. 
  1. Changes that you can make on an event with bids are:
    1. Changes to the lot name.
    2. Deleting a lot.
    3. Amending descriptions on columns.
    4. Adding in your current price for a lot.
  1. If you need to make any changes outside of those listed above you will need to delete all existing bids from the event. The article linked below explains how you can do this. 
    1. A supplier wishes to change their bid but can't. How can I allow them to place a new bid
  2. Once all bids have been removed you will be able to place the event into edit mode and amend your lots.
  3. Then once you have made your edits you can save the event and let your suppliers know they can re-bid. 

Auction

  1. If you need to make a change to a lot that is part of a live auction then unfortunately this is not possible.
  2. Once an auction has started you are unable to place the event into edit mode.
