What is the Event Total in an Advanced Lot and how do I use it?

What's the issue you're facing?

I have created my lots and I see I have the option to create an Event Total. What is this and how do I use this in my event?

Solution

Event totals allow you to create formulae that combine any price or numeric cell from across more than one lot. This can be useful when you have multiple lots and want to make decisions based on a number of factors. In its simplest form, an event total could be used as a sum of all of the lots, or it could be used in a more complex way, taking into account one lot's total and multiplying it by another lots numeric response within a particular cell for example.

To add in an event total, click ‘Create Event Total’ button on the bottom left of your advanced lot. You then need to give the event total lot a name. To build out an event total you work in the same way you would for building a standard advanced lot, however instead of adding a line item row you need to add an event total (see image 1). When you have added in your event total (line item row) you then add in your columns by pressing the ‘Add Event Total Component Column). Now give the column a name. The cells will appear green, and you will be able to enter formulae within each cell by clicking on the ‘Enter Info’ button within each cell (See image 2 below).
