Can I invite additional users to collaborate on a Sourcing event I have been invited to?

Can I invite additional users to collaborate on a Sourcing event I have been invited to?

What is the issue you're facing?

I have been invited to take part in a Sourcing event and would like to invite additional users to collaborate on the event. Is this something I can do?

Solution

Collaborator Functionality Active
Whether or not it is possible for participant users to invite additional users to collaborate on a submission is determined by the host.
If this functionality is active, an additional tab will be shown on the right hand side for 'Collaborators'

The invitee to the event will be marked as the 'Lead' by default.
They will have the ability to add a collaborator, where an email address and invitation message can be provided.

Once the collaborator accepts the invite, they will be able to view the event details, send messages and respond to questionnaires.
Only the lead contact has the ability to submit a bid, and the lead contact is locked after the first bid is submitted.

By switching the lead, available prior to the first bid being placed, the nominated individual will receive an invitation to take this responsibility.

Collaborator Functionality Inactive
For many reasons, the host may not choose to allow supplier collaborators to access their events.

In this case, management of the submission would need to take place outside of the system where multiple team members are required.
  1. For an event with questionnaires or an RFQ, the invited user can download any questionnaires/RFQ bid sheets from the event and distribute to the individuals that need to fill this out.
  2. Once those individuals have filled this out and sent it back to the invited user they can then add those responses to the tool including, if the host of the event has allowed it, via upload.
  3. Finally, if it's an RFQ they can upload the prices to the RFQ.
