Accepting the invitation

When you receive an invitation through Market Dojo, it means you’ve been selected to take part in a sourcing event, such as an RFQ or eAuction. The invitation will include all the key details you need, including what is being sourced, important deadlines, and any specific requirements. From there, you can accept or decline the invitation, or join the event using an invite code if provided. If you’re logged in but cannot see your event, you can follow these steps to access it. The platform is designed to give you a clear and structured way to participate and showcase your offering.

Inviting additional users

You may be able to invite colleagues from your company to join Market Dojo, allowing them to participate in sourcing events and collaborate on submissions. If you’d like to know more, see how to invite additional users to collaborate on a sourcing event.

Completing an event

When you’ve been invited to an event on Market Dojo, it could include one or more activities such as questionnaires, RFQs (Requests for Quotation), eAuctions, or even a combination of these. Each part of the event is designed to gather information, capture pricing, or enable competitive bidding in a structured and transparent way. By participating in all aspects of the event, you have the opportunity to fully showcase your products or services, provide detailed responses, and compete fairly alongside other suppliers.

Questionnaires

A questionnaire in Market Dojo is a set of structured questions that buyers use to gather information from suppliers. It can cover topics like your company details, capabilities, experience, compliance, or specific requirements for a project. By completing a questionnaire, you help buyers understand your suitability and provide the information they need to make informed decisions, all in a clear and organised way. You can find guidance on how to answer and submit questionnaires, or if you’ve already submitted yours and need to make changes, see how to edit a submitted questionnaire.

RFQs

An RFQ (Request for Quotation) in Market Dojo is a formal request from a buyer asking suppliers to provide pricing and terms for specific products or services. It allows you to submit your quotes in a structured format so buyers can compare offers easily. RFQs help ensure a fair, transparent process and give you the opportunity to compete for business based on price, quality, and delivery. For guidance, see how to submit bids in an RFQ, or if you need to make changes, learn how to delete a bid you have placed.

Auctions

An auction in Market Dojo is a competitive event where suppliers can bid in real time to offer the best price for a product or service. Buyers set the requirements, and suppliers submit bids, which can be updated during the event. eAuctions are designed to create a fair and transparent process, helping buyers get the best value while giving suppliers the chance to compete directly and showcase their competitiveness. You can find guidance on how to submit bids in an auction (Open, Ranked, or Japanese), learn what “Qual Bids” are and how to place them, see how to check your rank in a Ranked Auction, or delete a bid you have placed.
