I want to attach a document to a message, how do I do this?
Solution
Sometimes you may want to send a certain document to one (or a number) of your suppliers. Please see the below steps on how you can do this.
1) Open your Event and click into the "Messages" tab at the far right of the page.
2) To compose a bulk message, or contact someone new, use the Compose Message button, otherwise select the correct channel from the left-hand panel
3) Within the message composition box, a 'paperclip' icon is shown
This will then open a pop up for the sending of existing event documents or the ability to upload new documents.
Users should upload the documents required and/or select from the available list below.
When a new document is added to the event in this manner:
- It is only uploaded after the message is sent
- The 'sharing' permissions assigned to the message default to the sub-set of participants the message was sent to, or are made 'Internal only' for host-to-host messaging
- Changes to the document permissions, or details will need to be managed from the dedicated Documents tab
4) When the message is sent the recipient will see a URL for that document within the message, this allows for retrospective changes to permissions
5) The messaging channel will show a 'pill' for the document to highlight where one was included in the message
