What's the issue you're facing?
I have added a questionniare to my event and would like to start building this. How do I do this?
Solution
Building a questionnaire
Once you have selected to add a questionniare, click on the tab for the questionnaire. You can then either create a questionnaire manually, use a template or upload from Excel.
Creating a questionnaire manually
In this example we created a questionniare called 'Example Questionniare', so the tab is initially called 'Create Example Questionniare'.
To create a blank questionnaire click on the +New Questionniare button.
The questionnaire is made up of 2 parts, sections and questions. So you could have a section for insurances and another section for accreditations and ask the relevant questions within each section. By default it will start with 1 section with 1 question and will look like this:
Adding and naming your sections
You should start by first adding any additional sections and naming them appropriately.
To add a section click on the Add New Section button.
To name a section click on the Edit section attribututes button.
You can then name the section and give it a description if necessary.
Once added it will look like this.
Adding and setting up your questions
When setting up your questions the first thing you will need to do fill out what you would like to ask in the first text box as this is what your suppliers will see first.
If appropriate you can also add a question description which can provide a little more context around the question to your suppliers.
Mandatory questions
You will also need to decide whether or not to make the question mandatory. If you do suppliers must answer the question and will not be able to submit their responses without providing an answer to that question.
You can choose whether to make the question mandatory or not here:
Question Types
The next thing you need to do is choose the question type. There are several types of questions that you can use. They are:
- Yes/No
- Pick one from list
- Multiple choice
- One line text
- Paragraph text
- Document upload
- Date
- Table
- Numeric
Yes/No Questions
If you select a 'Yes/No' question this will only give your supplier the option to select a Yes or a No answer.
You would also need to choose whether or not to make an answer a Fail answer or not. If for example you made a 'No' answer a fail answer by selecting 'Yes' and a supplier chose 'No' they would then be rejected from the event.
Pick one from list questions
If you select a 'Pick one from list' question type your suppliers will be able to choose once answer from the list you have provided.
You can add your options by clicking the 'Click to add option' button to add them one by one or use the 'Add in bulk' button to add a large quantity at once.
If you choose to add in bulk you'll be able to paste a list of options from Excel to create your options.
Multiple choice questions
Multiple choice questions work in a very similar way to 'Pick from list' questions, but will allow your suppliers to select more than one option.
One line text questions
If you select a one line text question you have the option to choose the character limit for the question.
The default for this is 50 characters.
Paragraph text questions
If you select a paragraph text question you have the option to choose the character limit for the question.
The default for this is 5000 characters.
Document upload questions
If you select a Document upload question type there will be no additional configuration required and will expect your supplier to upload a document appropriate to the question you are asking.
Date questions
If you select a Date type question your supplier will be asked to enter a date as a response to the question.
Table questions
If you select a Table type question you will need to select how many rows and columns you would like to include in the table and then click on the Create button.
This will then create a table for you like this. In this example 3 rows and 4 columns were selected.
You can then name the headings and the rows. Your supplier will then be presented with a table to answer.
Numeric questions
If you select a Numeric question type this will be asking your supplier to ensyre a number.
You can select how many decimal place you would like this to be to and whether or not to include a suffix so you can ensure suppliers are answering to the same scale. For example 'km', 'kWh'.
Once you have setup you question attributes you will need to click on the 'Save Changes' button. The click on the 'Save & Go to Next Step' button to continue.
Pass/Fail questions
It is possible when setting up your questions to give them a pass/fail element so that if a supplier answers in a manner that measn you would not want them to be part of your event it will automatically reject them when they submit their responses.

You can also create a questionniare using a pre-saved template. For instructions on how to do this please refer to this article:
Dynamic Questions (Questions with follow on questions)
When setting up your questions it's possible to have dynamic questions so that they will only appear if a supplier provide certain answers. For example in one question you could ask if a supplier has an ISO27007 accreditation via a Yes/No question, and if the supplier answers 'Yes' you could have a separate question that asks them to upload their certificate, whereas if they answer 'No' this second questions is not presened to them to answer.
